The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) works predominantly in the areas of Computational Fluid Dynamics, Acoustics and Vibration, Dynamics and Controls, Mechatronics, Thermodynamics, Multiphase flows, Process Modeling and Optimization, Manufacturing, Linear and Nonlinear Vibrations, Finite Element Method, Fracture Mechanics, Rapid Prototyping, MEMS, NEMS and CNC Machining. The Dept. of MAE is actively working with industry and research organizations (such as AERB, DRDO, DST, BHEL, NRB, SERB, JICA, TATA, Honeywell, IC-IMPACTS, AZAD, SANDVIK, GM).
